Antara Home started by Vedika and Vidhi and their father who had spent his whole life in textiles. His company, Ratan Textiles Private Limited, is where we learned the craft long before we thought of building something of our own. We wanted to bring beautifully made home furnishings to people without the price tag that usually comes attached to "premium." So before we designed anything, we spent time understanding how people in India actually live with their homes, the colours they reach for, the sizes that work, the patterns that stay loved long after the season changes. One thing kept coming up: nobody has the time to iron a bedsheet every single wash, or wash a table cover after every meal. So we built that in from the start, fabrics that stay smooth without ironing, colours that don't fade for years, table linen you can simply wipe clean instead of washing every time.
